Alicia considered getting breast augmentation surgery for almost three years. She had given birth to five children and was taking care of herself. But she was not pleased with her body shape. “I spent almost every day in the gym or outside running to improve my body,” Alicia said. “But there was nothing I could do to improve my breast shape and size.”
“I didn’t like the way I looked in certain clothing,” she said. “Certain tops and swimsuits just didn’t look right. I was unhappy and I felt unattractive.” So, on and off for years, Alicia considered breast augmentation surgery.
When she decided it really was time to find a plastic surgeon, Alicia began her research on the Internet. There were several surgeons nearby but Alicia was very impressed with the reviews online about one surgeon in particular: Dr. Jack Peterson.
Alicia scheduled a consultation to talk to Dr. Peterson about her possibilities for breast augmentation surgery after reading many great reviews online, both on his web site and on RealSelf.com. She told Dr. Peterson her concerns. “I was unhappy with the way I looked and I wanted to be able to look in the mirror and be happy with my body,” Alicia said.
“Dr. Peterson was great! He was very professional and was very straightforward with what I could expect from the procedure,” Alicia said. “He and his team made me feel very comfortable.
In a clear manner, Dr. Peterson showed Alicia the improvements he thought were possible for her to meet some of her goals. Everything felt right for Alicia felt prepared scheduling surgery following her consult.
“I went in on a Monday for my consult with Dr. Peterson, ” Alicia said, “and I scheduled for surgery on Friday.” Alica felt like she had found the right surgeon to give her the results she sought. Following her breast augmentation procedure, Alicia’s recovery went better than she expected. “I expected pain for several weeks, ” she said. “But it was not as painful as I expected. After the first week, I did not need the pain pills.
“I was pleased from the time I left the hospital,” Alicia said. “After a month and a half the swelling went down more and I could really see a difference. “When I look in the mirror now, I feel great about my appearance. I’m not worried about the way I look in certain tops any more.”
